why the plants die

So, who knew that you're only supposed to water inside plants once a week? Why wasn't I told this?

I thought they LIKED water.

If you keep your plants on the radiator (as I do) then you need to water them far more often than once a week. It's not that your system was wrong, you just keep your plants in the wrong place. ;)

I have never had any luck keeping plants alive. I've even killed rosemary, which I've heard is pretty tough. Boris helps in the destruction process, eating anything green, or trying to use the planter (if it is large enough, and when he was small enough) as a litter box.

I'm so very impressed by people who keep houseplants.

I don't have a radiator. And half the plants aren't mine. Which makes it so much more apparent when mine die immediately, but the ones my coworkers have loaned me and look after live rich happy lives.

Unfair!

The only plants I ever had any luck with were hotel type plants. Those with the fuschia middles are pretty damn hardy.
